The previous message addressing the Day Ride Program stated a list of requirements for participating the Day Ride Program. The GABA Board, during our May Board meeting, had a long discussion on modifying these regulations based upon the currently available data and CDC recommendations.
GABA has modified the set of new requirements for everyone participating in Day Rides as stated in the last email down to one requirement:
- You must be vaccinated against COVID.
The other requirements are relaxed to pre-COVID days.
- Day Rides are open to GABA members and non-members.
- Group ride size will be set at the discretion of ride leader.
- Riders may wear a mask if they would like to .
Remember, Day Ride leaders are volunteers. They lead rides for the love the sport and enjoy socializing with people of similar interests. If a ride leader adds other requirements so they feel safe while leading a Day Ride, please respect their wishes.
These requirements will only be temporary. Once the effectiveness of the vaccination program is understood, the requirements set forth by GABA will be modified accordingly.
